Learning is fun day

Yes - its been a while.  We do have other things going on... however, with that, we are willing to help out the voracious need for pictures of Sofia.  So, here are a few from her latest "leaning by playing" lesson...

She did have a pretty fun time, and only took a few minuets to effectively clean up from learning time.

Its been a while

Well, its been a while since out last post... There are plenty of pictures of Sofia we are sorting through, however here are some that we shot last night/yesterday.  Sofia is still having fun, still likes shoes (whoever's they belong to).

This came out pretty well, considering it was getting dark in the house and  just had one flash to bounce off the wall.

Just give me shoes...

At the Pool

Last Sunday we were running around, but were able to enjoy a short trip to the newly opened pool on base. This was the first time Sofia had been to the new pool and a while since her last swimming lesson.  She's starting up swimming next week, so we though it would be fun to get her to the pool and cool off ourselves...

Soy based pudding

It tastes better then you might think...

Sofia was able to enjoy some pudding (soy based of course) earlier in the week.  She dove into this with much enthusiasm.  I think she'll like the real stuff that actually has sugar when she's older.

Chocolate Mousse...

Nicole was making some cakes for two 4th of July parties we were going to, and of course Sofia couldn't just sit by and watch with all the chocolate and cake and all.  So Nicole gave Sofia one of the beaters with the chocolate mousse on it...

Morning out with Dad

This is what happens when dad decides that we are going out to the Family Mart while mom sleeps in...

And don't worry, the coffee only has one shot of expresso.

New Kimono

Nicole bought some new kimono items, and of course Sofia decided she needed to try them on as well...

Okinawa Aquarium

We finally made it to the Aquarium after two years on the island - we also bought year passes, so now we need (really need) to go again- or two or thee times...

Sofia only had about 30min of actual sleep on the hour+ drive to the aquarium and wasn't really happy when we first got there, but started to warm up pretty quick.

 Then it was on to the starfish and sea cucumbers.

 And of course on a warm humid Okinawa day, its always nice to relax in a mister and enjoy the cool breeze.  With that, she's off again to the next exhibit.

 Which was also Sofia's first encounter with a dolphin.  Not only did she really like getting this close, it looked like the dolphin took some time to check her out as well.

Overall it was a fun time.  We had to speed things along as we timed the trip to coincide with her napping schedule and we were fortunate enough to have her sleep the entire hour and 20 min back to the house.
